Baggage

Every human being has baggage which they bring with them to any relationship. Our beliefs and values developed from our parents and experiences shape the way we see the world. They become our norms and when we share a relationship they all come into play, some are positive but many are not. If we are lucky we find people who share our norms which usually lead to compatible relationships. It becomes difficult when we are in relationships where the other person doesn’t share our values and we then try to impose them. It also become difficult when individuals wont share what they feel or believe, leaving their partner frustrated. Communication is vital for establishing long lasting friendship and resolving conflicts. Some people lead separate lives without having the same values and beliefs, compatible existence of not communicating, therefore avoiding conflict.
